Moxy Maxwell Does NOT Love Writing Thank-You Notes

Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Writing Thank-you Notes
Author: Peggy Gifford
My Recommended Age: 7 and up

Moxy Maxwell is the queen of procrastination.  In this, her second story, Moxy is being forced to write thank-you notes for all of her Christmas presents.  The only problem is that she has put it off so long that if she doesn't finish it by tomorrow, she will not be allowed to go to Hollywood to be with her dad.   Have no fear, Moxy's plan, including gold spray paint and a copy machine, is just what is needed to get the job done.

The book is perfect for the reluctant reader.  It is written in a first person, non-traditional format which includes humorous chapter titles, chapters with a comical "one-liners" or no text, and photographs taken by Mark, Moxy's younger brother. The short chapters jump from topic to topic just like Moxy's thoughts, and make it really easy to visualize the story.

I enjoyed reading this book, as did my daughter, who is very much like Moxy.  We highly recommend it!

Happy Reading
~Liz
