Non-fiction Children's Book

Many people are familiar with the presidency of John F. Kennedy.  He was widely popular, and his decisions during the Cuban missile crisis are inspiring.  His life however, was much more than his presidency.  Losing his older brother, suffering constant pain from a war injury, and plagued with a feelings of inadequacy, John F. Kennedy's life was full of challenges.  All of these helped shape him into the amazing president that he was.

Having always been fascinated by the movie Thirteen Days and President Kennedy's role, I picked this book up from a display table on my way into the library.  Not only did I read it, but three of my kids read it as well.  I found it to be an easy to read book that helped younger kids get a basic understanding of the life of our 35th president.
