After hearing a review of the movie "Flipped" from a friend, I happened to see the book "Flipped" in the book order. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a sucker for a book that has a movie adaptation, so of course I had to order it. And, let me say, that I am so glad I did, because I LOVED IT!

From the time Juli first laid on eyes on Bryce, she has been in love. However, Bryce has been avoiding Juli and her quirky ways since she held his hand when they were six. Now that the two are in eighth grade, the love interests have flipped and Bryce wonders why he can't stop thinking about Juli, whereas Juli realizes that Bryce is not at all what she thought he was.

When I first picked up this book, I was expecting a light easy read, however, I got so much more. The author definitely deserves a thumbs up for character development, as well as kudos for her writing style. It is written so that the chapters alternate narrators between Bryce and Juli recounting the same stories. This added a layer of perspective to the story which I loved. I could see this story unfolding and happening, and I could picture every detail as it was told. I laughed out loud, and even shed a few tears...a little embarrassing as I was on an airplane while I reading it.

There was nothing inappropriate or even remotely offensive, and I highly recommend it.

Happy Reading

P.S. As a side note, I loved the movie too!
