"Please spell the word pen… Okay, F-R-I-N-D-L-E."
Nicholas Allen has a knack for coming up with “brilliant” ideas to get out of school work. Like the time he turned his classroom into a sunny hangout spot. With fifth grade starting, he knows life is about to get a lot harder. Mrs. Granger, the dictionary loving, language arts teacher, can spot a rule being broken a mile away, and isn’t afraid to give homework on the first day of school. However, when Nick gets an idea he won’t be silenced. Soon he has the whole school, and maybe a lot more than that, fighting for “frindle”.

This book was a riot!  We laughed the whole way through and could appreciate how hard Nick tried to get out of school work.  It was easy to picture a some of our own kids trying out this tactic on a few of their teachers!  There is nothing offensive in this book, it is a great read!

Enjoy and Happy Reading!
